Kokedama workshops
Workshop dates:
Kokedama Workshop:
Friday 6 October 20:00 - 21:30
Price per adult £30.00
A wonderful way to get creative and enjoy nature at your finger tips! We will start with a demonstration of these potless plants using a unique soil mixture and moss. After which you will be supported in making two Kokedamas. We will start by making one with an outer moss base that is suitable for a more moist loving plant, after which we will design a Kokedama using coconut fibre for a succulent.
Children's Kokedama workshop
Do your children love creating mud pies? Then this might be just the thing for them! We will teach them how to mix the soil to create a strong mudball, how to insert a hanging plant of choice and why moss is a vital ingredient. There will be different colours of string and lots of creative ways to decorate their own Kokedama! Children need to wear clothes that can get dirty (all materials are natural, so easy to wash out!), be proficient in the use of scissors and be able to sit on a bar stool unaided. An adult must accompany the child(ren) and if you'd like to get stuck in, you are welcome to get a ticket too and make your own!
There will be various plants to choose and you can make designs hanging or standing on its own, or one of each! All materials are completely sustainable and we will share lots of tips and tricks on how best to look after them. Help is at hand and no-one is rushed. We will also demonstrate some Ikebane style arranging.
Come and join this fun filled plant evening and enjoy a complimentary drink whilst making your master piece!
