On your big day flowers help create magic and contribute to the beautiful atmosphere and smell. They will need to fit your style and location or they can have a special meaning. For example, rosemary doesn't just smell lovely, but  also signifies remembrance.

Yet, crucially flowers also need to fit within your budget. Weddings are anything but cheap, which is why I offer a bespoke service to help you think through the flowers for your special day and I will work with your budget. Please get in touch for a consultation.

Bridal Bouquet

The bridal bouquet will be amongst the most important flowers you will choose in your lifetime. So take your time to think about it and choose the flowers and style that fit you, your dress and the colour scheme for the day.

For example, would you like a cascading bouquet, elegantly flowing down the dress, or the more traditional handtied bouquet, that can be either loose and natural or more tightly constructed and can be fully wired or not. Or you might enjoy a Carmen Rose, constructed from individual flowers to become one large impressive flower. We are happy to discuss your designs of choice.

Buttonholes and corsages

The groom often wears a boutonniere; a collection of flowers and foliage to be worn on the right lapel of suit or tails, which often corresponds to the flowers chosen for the bridal bouquet.

A corsage is worn by the mother of the bride and future mother-in-law and is a collection of flowers and foliage. It is worn on the right and with the stem pointing towards the shoulder.

Buttonholes are worn on the right by other members of the wedding party, such as ushers, brothers and sisters or anyone else deemed close to the to be married couple.

Table Arrangements

The key with a table arrangement is to either stay low or go up high, as there is nothing more annoying than not being able to see and properly speak to the other guests. Also, think about what else you would like to place on the tables and choose a fitting size for the space.

As you will most likely spend quite a few hours at a wedding reception the arrangements  will be enjoyed for hours and deserve careful consideration. For example, would you like to include fragrance? They can also make a lovely gift to give to wedding guests to take home after the evening consider whether you would like it go to a local hospice, church or community centre.

Pedestals

Pedestal arrangements can look magnificent in any space. In Churches they often bring colour and can form a wonderful backdrop to the wedding ceremony (and pictures!), but they are also used for a grand entrance or civil ceremonies. Choose flowers fitting for your colour scheme and think about whether you'd like flowers or foliage to trail down or not. We always like to help you think through how they can be used at another location or taken home to be enjoyed.

Candelabras

Candelabras are instant impact and ambiance, particularly in places with high ceilings they are a wonderful feature.

Not every table needs a Candelabra and they can be created in different sizes using different techniques. Please get in touch, so we can help make your dream wedding a reality.

Floral Pillars and Arches

Large arrangements can look magnificent in any space. In Churches they often bring colour and can form a wonderful backdrop to the wedding ceremony (and pictures!), but they are also used for a grand entrance or civil ceremonies. Choose big flowers for impact. We always like to help you decide how they can be re-used at another location.

Flower crowns and hair decoration

The floral headband has always been popular for flower girls or bridesmaids, but is more and more often worn by the bride to create a natural or vintage look. Flower bands add flair and can create a fairytale look.

Hairpins decorated with flowers have also gained in popularity and can be a lovely addition to the hair.
