Welcome to our magical world of flowers and plants. We love creating floral wedding designs, event flowers and bespoke bouquets. We are based in Cambridge, but also work in London, where we once started. We also teach floristry using sustainable techniques and regularly host workshops in our Cambridge Studio, or we are happy to come to you.
Flowers make people happy, bring comfort and say what words often cannot and if its down to us, we can't live without them!
My story
Growing up near the tulip fields in the Netherlands, flowers have always been part of my life. As a child I would cycle to the local grower and ask for his offcuts to make flower arrangements.
After living and working in India, the opportunity to do a Masters in Development Studies at the University of Cambridge brought me to the UK in 2008. It was in Cambridge where I arranged my first friends’ weddings in one of the colleges and it's been so lovely to return to Cambridge and become a preferred supplier for some of the colleges.
I trained and worked at Judith Blacklock flower school in London prior to founding Battersea Bloem. I am very passionate about using sustainable floristry methods and work in close partnership with local flower farms just outside of Cambridge.
